Just because someone decides to buy your product does not mean that this is all they want or need (Jan 01, 1970)
Interact with your current customers. Just because someone decides to buy your product does not mean that this is all they want or need. After you say "Thank You!" take the time to see what else your customer may need and how you might be able to help them. One more thing here. . . make sure your clients know about what's coming next so that they come back (I can't wait for the apples). 4. Don't keep your products or services a secret.

What Should You Look For In A Career Coach? (Sep 18, 2011)
If you've decided to hire a career coach because you don't see your search for a job going anywhere, and your leads have gone cold, then it's important you find the best coach possible. After all, anyone could rent out an office and advertise himself or herself as a career coach. No special training or license is needed. But to find a career coach who can truly offer you what you need to get hired, you have to do a little research and a little investigating. First, ask some questions of a career coach. Career coaches usually offer one or two free consultation sessions, so that would be a great time to conduct your inquiry. Try to find out: how long has this person been in business? What results can he or she guarantee? And, most of all, can this coach provide references? Actually follow up on the references, too. If a coach gives you the name of a past client, email or call him or her so you can verify that the coach did a good job for that person. Also, ask for a resume. Good career coaches will have some experience in the "real world" of business. That's the only way they'll know what they're talking about. Search for online customer reviews as well, and read as many of these as you can to get a sense of the overall quality of a coach. Even better is when a career coach belongs to an organization of similar professionals. The Worldwide Association of Business Coaches is a good example of such an organization. In order to belong to this group, a career coach would have to have had at least some formal training, and continuing membership in such an organization is contingent on satisfied customers and good results. And career coaches who regularly (or semi-regularly) speak at conferences and meetings of career coaches are usually coaches who are highly respected by their peers. Something else to look out for: has your prospective career coach ever been featured in the media? That is, has she or he ever been interviewed on local or national news programs or other TV or radio outlets? It's also great if your would-be coach has written a book that has sold well. Another important thing is to make sure you click well with a career coach you hire. You don't want someone who's condescending to you, or brusque or cold or uninterested. Here's another instance where it's a good idea to take advantage of the free consultation. How comfortable and easy is the conversation between the two of you? Is this coach friendly? Does she or he make good eye contact, and even more important, does this person really seem to understand your struggles and appreciate your situation in life? You're going to need to work with this coach for perhaps quite a while, and trust this individual with intimate details of your life, so you should feel a rapport building early on.

Happy Birthday to Vivienne Westwood! (Sep 19, 2011)
Last Friday, Vivienne Westwood celebrated her 70th birthday. Normally, we stereotype 60 or 70 year old women to be conservative, but this British fashion designer, known as the queen of Punk, has made her rebellious mark by designing clothing, accessories and shoes with a punk twist over the past 40 years. Her work has become so popular despite the nonconventional designs, being known for her 9 inch platform shoes (in which supermodel Naomi Campbell famously fell over during one of her Paris shows) and her wedding dress featured in the recent Sex and the City movie. Happy Birthday to a one of a kind fashion designer!
