And from then on, I set off my tough way of single love(Jan 01, 1970)
Regardless of all my grueling hard work, I still could not find out the exact one. And from then on, I set off my tough way of single love. My love for her is so profound that I all the beauty in natural world becomes a stimulus to me. There may be passionate embrace between the mountain and the sky, the wave and the beach. Yet, I can in no way have an opportunity to look at you. The foggy moon might bestow a gorgeous mantle to the lake. Yet, preserving even a small ornamentation from you will be an extravagant wish.
Tod Hallman: Celebrity Stylist, Fashion Show Producer, and Fashion Expert(Sep 18, 2011)
If you haven't heard the name Tod Hallman, you are missing out as he's definitely someone to know in the fashion industry. A day in the life of Tod includes styling celebrities for red carpet events, producing flawless fashion shows, holding various fashion events, blogging on his weekly blog and much, much more. I had the pleasure of speaking with Tod and let me tell you, his down-to-earth personality makes him easy to talk fashion with. Check out this exclusive Handbago interview with Tod to find out what it's like to style celebrities, what trends he's looking forward to for fall, and, of course, his favorite handbag! What is your role in the fashion industry?I've been a celebrity fashion stylist for over 15 years and I started producing fashion shows in 2005. I've also worked as a Fashion Director for various magazines, I have a blog discussing all things fashion, and I'm a style contributor for a news site called affordablecool.com.What celebrities have you worked with in the past?John Cusack, Carolina Herrera, Portia de Rossi... and I loved dressing Regina King! What is your favorite part about your job?I love making women feel and look beautiful. Nothing is more exciting than making sure they're ready to go on red carpet day. Since celebrities are constantly in the public eye with media and press, it's my job to make sure they look good even before they step foot on the red carpet--people are always looking.I consider fashion an extension of art. I love the process of producing fashion shows: casting, sitting with the models, getting their hair and makeup ready, and even the drama that creeps its way in no matter how much organizing and planning you do. I love working with designers to help execute their vision down the runway. Because I come from a background of dance and theater, these things all come naturally to me.What inspired you to be a stylist?Since junior high I've always been particular about how I looked and dressed. From a young age, clothing was important to me because it was a way to let my personality come through. I've evolved a lot. There have been many different Tod's throughout the years in terms of the way I look and dress! What is the styling process like? You know, a lot of stylists just bring out a rack of clothes for a celebrity and hope that some work out. I don't believe in that. I research the celebrity before I style them and, if possible, I try to meet with them for coffee or lunch just to try to get to know their individual taste. I ask them what their favorite colors are and what they don't like so much. I ask them what they love about their body and what they hate, so that we can play up what they love and mask what they don't like.Since we're all about handbags, who is your favorite handbag designer or your favorite handbag of all time? That's a tough one! I am madly in love with the Boy Bag collection from Chanel... they are the new "It" bags. For structure, I love Reed Krakoff. Nancy Gonzalez blows me away with the skins she uses. I love Lauren Merkin for evening clutches because not only are they beautiful, but they're designed for you to still be able to get things in them. There's a designer in Los Angeles, Kelly Locke, who does beautiful exotics as well. What trend are you most looking forward to for fall?I love men's-inspired clothing for women. I think it's great when women can pull of a tailored look but it's still chic and feminine. What's the one fashion show you produced that you're most proud of?Oh, there are so many! One would be a fashion show I did with Kevan Hall and Resnick Auto where they were launching three new vehicles. We did that show on the backlot of Universal Studios. There were 25 models, and DIC (Diamonds International Corporation) flew in and did the jewelry. It was a big production and it was so beautiful watching the girls walk down the stairs that extended into an 80-foot runway. It was a huge place! What projects are you working on now? We're holding a party in celebration of the Fall collection of Gap 1969 jeans on Thursday, August 25. I'm so impressed with what they're doing for fall so I'm thrilled for the party! I'm also producing a Falguni & Shane peacock show for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in September. What can readers expect to read on your blog?I'm actually working on a couple cool posts! I'm about to do a blog post about the Gap 1969 Beyond Denim Collection. And I'm doing a post on Walter Van Beirendonck, who was part of the Antwerp 6 (a group of influential avant garde fashion designers who graduated the Royal Academy of Fine Arts). He has a brilliant understanding for color and pattern. While speaking with Tod, I couldn't help but think to myself, "Is there anything this man doesn't do?!" He has a lot on his plate yet still manages to keep a positive and poised attitude. With so much going on, you would think he would crack under pressure, but he explained to me that "it only becomes stressful if you let it."If you're interested in checking out Tod's blog (I don't know who wouldn't be), click here:THPFashion. His knowledge of and experience in the fashion industry makes his blog a pleasure to read!
A long tank top dress combines modesty with a sexylook, to make almost any woman feel years younger(Jan 01, 1970)
The Caribbean islands are usually anexcellent choice. A long tank top dress combines modesty with a sexylook, to make almost any woman feel years younger. A definite must for aholiday at the beach. The unifying characteristic of tank topsis that they are sleeveless, save for two thin straps. A BKE long tanktop is made of cotton or a cotton blend, often with Lycra to addstretch. It is thin, lightweight material, so that it can be layered, worn as underwear or worn alone.
